I'm thinking of taking my two sons (8 and 9) over to Paris after New Year for a day or two. Can you recomend a website that will give me access to good clean and CHEAP hotels. Many thanks. A. Q. My kids are 11 and 14 and get easily bored on beach or cultural holidays, and I hate theme parks or holiday camps. Any ideas for an adult-friendly and child-friendly holiday? A. If your kids are energetic - and most kids of 11 and 14 are - consider an adventure holiday, Companies like Explore (www.explore.co.uk/our-tours/family-adventures/) and The Adventure Company (www.adventurecompany.co.uk/) hiking, kayaking, rafting, dog-sledding group holidays that are tailored for all the members of a family. The group sizes are small - usually four or five families - and there's a good mix of social life and adrenaline-fuelled activities and the 'cultural' stuff is not heavily pressed on anyone - you just pick up the local culture because you're having fun, and getting fit, in it..
